Community Engagement
Overview
Community Extension Services or CES is the extension service/community development arm of the school which is primarily responsible in responding to the social concerns of the marginalized sector of the society.
It is tasked to initiate programs and projects that give the disadvantaged the opportunity to enhance their capabilities to become empowered citizens and eventually agents of social transformation.
Since the Mission and Goal of Saint Michael College, Cantilan, Incorporated is fulfilled through participation not only in school activities but also in reaching out to the community in sharing this concern with the society, the school established linkages with Government Organizations, Non-Government Organizations and Parish–based organizations for fast delivery of community services. The activities conducted focus on Education and Training, Spiritual Enhancement, Economic Development, Ecological/Environmental Protection and Rehabilitation Programs and Social Services. It is collectively participated by the students, faculty, staff, administration, parents and alumni.
All these are anchored on the Vision and Mission of the school to work in the service of the poor of the community all for the glory of God.
